Deco-Style Maltese Cross Jet & Enamel - Vintage!

This is a very beautiful Vintage Enamel Maltese Cross-shaped Brooch with a definite Deco-Style feel to it. The design is of a cross-within a cross set off by a heart-shaped stone in the center of the brooch.

The lovely piece is composed of black enamel inset into each bar of the cross(es) while the middle stone is a cut/faceted heart-shaped piece of black glass(Jet?) that is set through the middle of the brooch and comes to a point at the back. The entire piece is trimmed in gold tone. This deco-style brooch is in beautiful shape with no scratches, nicks or cuts. It closes with a C-clasp that fastens securely at the back.

Although unmarked, this is a very heavy, nice old well-designed and fashioned vintage jewelry piece. It's measurements are 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".
