An amazing French hand Embroidery from the Art Deco period, circa 1925. The piece is quite large and was probably intended for one of the oversized pillows of the time.

Because it was kept in a French armoire all along, and never really used, it has kept its incredibly vibrant colors. The fabric is also very fresh.

The piece is done with very rustic and shiny cottons against a black rayon satin, creating not only a stunning visual contrast., but also a super tactile, three dimensional effect.

(Because the embroidery is only applied to the background with big stitches, (see pic of the back) this means you could easily transfer it to another type of fabric)

A small Folk Art masterpiece!
