As Barbie took Ginny's place at the top of the doll world, Vogue gave the rights to produce Ginny in soft vinyl to the Tonka Corporation.(Vinyl Made by Tonka - 1972-1977) They tried to keep Ginny's cost down and began to manufacture her in Japan.

This doll is from the popular line called “Dolls from Far Away Lands.”

Costumed in her outfit, she stands 8” tall, has arms and legs jointed to her body but no elbow or knee joints.

She is beautiful down to the smallest detail. Her hair is topped with a black flannel hat, a lace scarf around her neck, black plastic shoes, open close eyes, a lace trimmed apron and dress (with original Made in Hong Kong paper label) and a long white stockings on her legs.
