Victorian Faceted Black Drop Bead and Rhinestone Demi-Parure

Circa 1890's to 1910's Victorian era necklace and earrings for pierced ears have glossy faceted black beads with clear rhinestones in a channel setting for accents. These pieces may have been intended as mourning jewelry, and perhaps were not a true set but were found together and do coordinate very well. The necklace has a dark gold, most likely brass chain with a sculpted rectangular design on each link. There are two faceted glass beads at the lowest link above the pendant drop. Although they may appear to be black as well, are actually a deep red color. There is a hook clasp. Necklace has a 17" long chain and the pendant drop is 1 1/4" long. Earrings have two black beads with rhinestones in a channel setting as well. They have gold filled ear wires and are 3/4" long. Ear wires are a replacement from the original findings.
