Gold filled pin to commemorate the National Conference of Parents and Teachers, now known as the PTA, has a bar engraved with the name of the state Washington, an acorn at the side as decoration, and a round light blue enameled disc with tree representing the organization. The title of "National Conference of Parents and Teachers" and the date 1897, when this organization was founded is noted on the disc. On the back of the pin the name of the recipient, Ruby Hoskins and the dates 1949-50 are inscribed. Pin is 7/8" x 7/8" and is marked RGP for rolled gold plate. Age related wear.
