Fine high relief carved cameo: profile of a young girl on the left, hair dressed in the Antic style, ornate with corn garland. (Ceres Goddess' profile). This beautiful girl portrait is bordered with a frieze of carved beads. I mention that 3 little beads seems to have been replaced on top (minimal repair, fast not visible). Size of cameo is large, and maximized by a beautiful oval turned frame in shape, of the period. On bottom an old paper sticker attribute this portrait to Sauvage (1743-1818). It was probably done after his designs or inspired by his works. Dimensions: With frame: 3-1/2 x 2-3/4 Inches ( 9 x 7cm!). Condition: is excellent, without any flaw, patina is a wonder...
