You don't see this every day. This is a gorgeous vintage brooch with unusual construction. it features a huge round flat-faced jade-colored glass or natural stone that is "captured" or caged within an antiqued bronze-colored openwork dome. The stone is polished to a glossy finish.

Highly dimensional and strongly influenced by Moorish design, this lovely pierced metal medallion is sturdy and made with quality. The beautiful green stone it houses is thick and hefty, and displays a subtly translucent bubbled matrix with a natural rather than manufactured appearance. Rich caramel, bronze, and jade colored beads are suspended from the medallion in a trio of dangles, and imbue the brooch with an exotic, sophisticated, ethnic charm. The back of the brooch features a pierced metal lattice or grid that supports the pin and safety clasp. Elegantly designed and beyond the ordinary.
